Jung Myung Seok: (aka Joshua Jung) the founder of Providence Church.
Providence: Used by Teacher Joshua as a descriptor for God's will or the 'history of God.' The word is used frequently by members to the extent that they collectively refer to themselves as members of (God's) Providence.
Setsuri: Means "Providence" in Japanese.
MS: Acronym for Morning Star, signifying the brightest star mentioned in the Bible. Jung Myung Seok declared that those who know the truth and believe in God should shine their light to the world.
30 Lessons: Sometimes referred to as the 30 Principles they are taught by Teacher Joshua in the form of a Bible study. Originally the study consisted of 120 lessons in total, but these were later condensed into 30 lessons. The lessons are usually taught before a person chooses to attend a Providence church. The lessons testify to God and the Bible from a new perspective based on a mature understanding of God's history in the world, human knowledge, and divine revelation. The Bible study challenges many assumptions perpetuated by modern religions by uncovering mysteries of the Bible and restoring a faith in God's word.
